We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains which data is processed when you visit overlay.photo - in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Principles

This website uses no tracking or advertising cookies, no analytics services such as Google Analytics and no social media plugins. No profiling takes place.

3. Hosting and server log files

When you visit this website, the hosting provider automatically processes information in so-called server log files transmitted by your browser: IP address, date and time of the request, page accessed, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL. This data is technically required to deliver the website and to ensure stability and security.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log files are deleted automatically according to the hosting provider's deletion policy.

4. Inquiry forms (demo and partner requests)

If you request a demo or a sales partnership via our forms, we process the data you enter (e.g. name, company, email address, phone number, message) to handle your inquiry and to contact you.

Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR (pre-contractual measures at your request).

Storage period: We store inquiries only as long as necessary for processing. If no contract is concluded, we delete the data after 6 months at the latest, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

5. Contact by email

When you contact us by email, the transmitted data is processed to handle your inquiry (Art. 6 (1) lit. b or lit. f GDPR).

6. Cookieless reach measurement

We count page views using a self-operated, cookieless method. Only which page was viewed how often is stored - no IP address, no cookies, no fingerprinting and no personal reference whatsoever. Identifying individual visitors is impossible.

7. Google Fonts

This website embeds fonts from Google Fonts (provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). When the page loads, your browser fetches the fonts from Google servers; in doing so, your IP address is transmitted to Google, possibly also to servers in the USA.

8. Content Delivery Network (CDN)

To display the scroll animations, the JavaScript library "Lenis" is loaded via the CDN unpkg.com (Cloudflare, Inc., USA). Your IP address is transmitted to the CDN in the process. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR.
